PRECIS: In Adam Hilgers article, Reversal's of Earth's Magnetic Field, he implies that our magnetic field is the reason that humans are able to survive on planet Earth. He discusses numerous reason why our magnetic field is so important and backs his statements up with factual evidence proving to the reader that indeed, our magnetic field is a necessity to our survival. Adam's purpose is to explain our magnetic field in order to get people to understand the severe importance of its existence. Hilger's audience would be the scientific world or anyone who is interested in knowing why the human race can survive on planet Earth.

8) An Overview of the Earths Magnetic Field
In the article "An Overview of the Earth's Magnetic Field" the author explains some of the main properties of the magnetic field and why they are important to human survival. The author's give situations of why the field is needed as well as giving situations if there was no field. The goal is to inform people on general but very important information in order to raise an awareness of the importance of the earth's magnetic field. The intended audience for this article would be anybody interested in further educating themselves.
